DiscoverySpace

DiscoverySpace provides a graphical user interface for visualization and analysis of DISCOVERYdb, a centralized database.

The Discovery platform is used by researchers in the Mouse Atlas project to analyze the SAGE data.

The Discovery platform includes:

  • DiscoverySpace
    An intuitive and highly functional platform for interacting with DISCOVERYdb.
  • DISCOVERYdb
    A database layer which is an expandable and comprehensive collection of biological data.

The DISCOVERY platform has a plugin model, which allows development teams to create experiment-specific extensions. There is an extension to present investigators with a broad range of methods for interpreting serial analysis of gene expression (SAGE) data.

The DiscoverySpace application is freely available for academic research from http://www.bcgsc.ca/discoveryspace/.
