Liver, dorsal view. With the aid of a dissecting microscope the liver was manually removed from embryos submerged in phosphate buffered saline (PBS). The livers were then transferred to Trizol. Livers of embyros of several litters were collected to obtain enough RNA for SAGE library construction.
